Lady Wolves Soccer Team Win League Championship in Shootout!

The girls soccer team has made history by securing their first-ever championship title in their inaugural season in the league. The game was tied in regulation and went to penalty kicks which the Lady Wolves won 4-3! We are extremely proud of the dedication and perseverance displayed by these talented athletes. The team extends it's gratitude to the staff, SAISD leadership, and board members for their unwavering support. Go Wolves 🏆🥇🏆⚽️🥅🐺

FROM OUR PRINCIPAL
It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as Principal of San Augustine Elementary School. My educational career spans over twenty years including:  twelve years as primary, elementary and middle school classroom teacher, four years as.... an educational leader, and five years as an educational consultant. I have been very fortunate to work in a variety of positions and diverse environments including: two large school districts, a private school, and two small school districts. 

I am married to my wonderful husband Chris Cates. Together we have two daughters, Hollyn and Whitney Cates, two sons, Carter and Lane Lair, and one grandson, Braxton Pratt. We enjoy spending time at the lake, camping, fishing, and making memories. I am extremely blessed to have a large family and close group of friends who have supported me on my journey from classroom teacher to campus principal. My loved ones and educational experiences have truly shaped me as a servant leader.

As the newest member of Wolf Nation, I am most excited to serve the students, staff, and community of San Augustine. I believe schools take on the personality of their leader, and I am dedicated to educating students, energizing teachers, and building positive relationships with all stakeholders. I consider it an honor to serve as Principal of San Augustine Elementary School.

I am looking forward to  the BEST year ever, as we work hard to Build Educational Success Together.

Area Playoffs Lady Wolves

!! Lady Wolves take on the Hawkins Lady Hawks in Area Contest !!

After a convincing win over the Bulldogs, the Lady Wolves advance to play in the Area round this Friday (Feb 14th) at the Slocum High School Gymnasium. Start time is 7:30pm. We are the second game behind Chester and Abbott. Ticket prices are $5 for both students and adults. THSCA, THGCA, TABC, Senior Citizen, and both district passes will be accepted. GO LADY WOLVES!!

There is a staff development day on Monday, Feb 24 (school offices are open) so students do not return to school until Tuesday, Feb 25. Stay warm, stay safe and enjoy the winter break!

Today, February 13th, the Lady Wolves Soccer team achieves a milestone. Just two seasons ago, the team played their first soccer game as a newly established soccer club. This season is their inaugural year in a soccer district consisting of 10 schools. Please come out and support them as they play their first-ever playoff game. One game only at 5pm. The field location is listed below. Go Wolves!!! 🥅⚽️🐺
