The Wolves pulled off an exciting win last Friday over Grapeland, our first district game. The Varsity won 50 to 14 and our Junior High and Junior Varsity also come home with significant wins. It's great to get our first district game under our belts as a win! Come out this Friday to see the Wolves slay the Dragons at Homecoming.
Speaking of Homecoming - we have had a really busy week around the school! The hall decorations were the best they've ever been; we had some of the greatest looking footy pajamas on Monday you have ever seen; and all kinds of teams were represented on Jersey Day. Remember to come out for the Homecoming parade Friday afternoon with a start time of 3:00. The parade ends at Wolf Stadium where the new stadium and band hall will be dedicated.
We are also having a bonfire Thursday evening near the front of the school - it starts at 7:00.
Our San Augustine Military Marching Band performs at Marching Contest this Saturday in Longview. They have worked really hard and look forward to competition. If they receive a Division 1, they will compete at Area Marching Contest next Saturday in Nacogdoches. Good Luck, Band!!
This week's "Bandsman of the Week" is Yakiara Holman, an eighth grade clarinet player. Her picture is in the Tribune this week - congratulations, Yaki, and thanks for all your hard work!
